sad love poems

Sad love poems Definition

Source(Google.com.pk)
A love poem will not always be long and flowery. Sometimes what you need to say can be very short. In fact it may be the fact that the poem is short that makes it special. Its short length may show that you put the time and effort in to make every word count. You considered carefully every word choice. Every word choice has a reason behind it. A short poem can be the ultimate act of romance when it is given the time and effort that it deserves.

Sad Love Poems express anger, betrayal and heartbreak over a great loss. When our dreams are shattered, our vulnerabilities attacked and our soulmate exposed as a charlatan, we are left void and empty. It is any wonder that we turn to poetry to express the inexpressible.

How can there be pain in a place where there is so much joy? A loving relationship is the most awesome experience in the world. This is why it also holds the potential for so much sadness. There are so many things that can go wrong. We must remember, "Better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all."

For Love's Sake

I'm so tired of this empty feeling
I'm so tired of being alone
I lay here staring at the ceiling
Waiting by the phone

I jump when the phone rings
It brings a smile to my face
When he hangs up my heart stings
And I sink back into my lonely place

I wish and I dream
That we'll be together soon
I can't wait until we can look up hand in hand
At the stars and at the moon

I yearn for his kisses
His touch - His embrace
I can't wait for Thursdays
When I get to see his face

I'm flooded with thoughts of him
In my heart, soul, and mind
I imagine his touch
So gentle and kind

I try not to weep
I hope he doesn't hear my cries
But I can't stop the tears
Falling from my eyes

I cry a thousand tears
And think - how much more can I take?
